கத்திரிக்காயில் பிள்ளையார் – லண்டனில் அதிசயம்!
பிள்ளையார், வினாயகர், கணேசன், கஜபதி, கணபதி, கணநாதன், என்று பல பெயர்களில் செல்லமாகவும், விஷேசமாகவும், எங்கெங்கும் வழிபட்டு வரும் வேளையில், லண்டனில் ஒருவர் கத்திரிக்காயில் பிள்ளையாரின் உருவதைப் பார்த்து வியந்து விட்டார். பெரிய இரண்டு காதுகள், தும்பிக்கை என வினாயகரின் உருவம் அதில் பதிக்கப்பட்டதைப் போன்றிருந்தது. உடனே அதனை விக்கிரம் மாதிரி, பூஜை மேடையில் வைத்து விட்டார். செய்தி கேட்டதும், பலர் இதனை பார்க்க வந்து விட்டனர்.
பிரபுல் விஸ்ராம் என்பவர் லெசெஸ்டர் என்ற இடத்தில் உணவு விநியோகம் செய்து வருகிறார்[1]. அப்பொழுது, காய்கறிகள் வந்த ஒரு பெட்டியில், ஒரு கத்திரிக்காயில் இருந்த உருவம் பிள்ளையாரைப் போலிருந்ததும், அவரது மனைவி, வியப்போடு எடுத்து வந்து காட்டினார். பார்த்தால், வினாயகரைப் போலவே இருந்ததும், பயபக்தியுடன் பூஜையில் விக்கிரங்களுடன் சேர்த்து வைத்து விட்டார். ஆரத்தியோடு வழிபாடு செய்யவும் ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார்.
செய்தி கேட்டதும், பலர் இதனை பார்க்க வந்து விட்டதால், தனது அலுவலகத்திலேயே, கோயில் மாதிரி அதனை வைத்து விட்டார்[2]. இந்த விஷயத்தை அறிந்த அவரது உறவினர், நண்பர், மற்றவர்கள் வந்து பார்த்துச் சென்றனர். இதனால் எல்லோருக்கும் மங்களம் உண்டாகும் என்று நம்புகின்றனர்[3].
காய்கறி என்பதால், சில நாட்களில் வாடிவிடக் கூடும். ஆனால், அவர் அதைப் பற்றி கவலைப் படவில்லை. அப்படி நேர்ந்தால், நாங்கள் அந்த கத்தரிக்காயிற்கு, மரியாதையோடு அடக்கம் செய்து விழா கொண்டாடுவோம் என்கிறார்.

A caterer discovered it in a box of vegetables and now proudly displays it in a homemade temple in a backroom at his workplace. Praful Visram, 61, who runs 4 Seasons Catering in Leicester, claims the Hindu gods blessed him and is honouring their wishes by putting it on display. He said: “My wife, Rekha, saw it and recognised the similarity with Ganpati Bappa – Lord Ganesh. “We immediately placed it with reverence in the temple at work. It has been a blessing for us and I hope will bring us luck and prosperity. “This has been sent to us and we shall treat this with the respect it deserves.” Praful described how he and his family along with staff members have been praying to the vegetable twice a day. He said word has spread and over 80 people have turned up to worship the elephant-faced aubergine. Praful added: “It is spreading good feeling throughout the community.” Hina Chodai, who runs a neighbouring company called Khushi Food, said the resemblance to Lord Ganesh – the Hindu god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune – was remarkable. He said: “As soon as I heard about the aubergine I had to see it for myself. It is indeed a blessing for all of us. “I am hoping it will bring prosperity to all who pray there. I have prayed there a few times and all of my family have come along to pray, too.” And one of Praful’s workers named as Bacash, 44, added: “There is no doubt that it looks like the God. I pray in the temple at work every day and it gives me a good feeling. |
